Science Enrichment – Science IQ Competition

Science Enrichment – Science IQ Competition

During Term 2, several of our talented Year 4 and Year 5 students took part in the Science IQ Competition – an exciting online, team-based event that challenges students across a wide range of scientific fields including astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, biotechnology, and scientific investigations.

Out of 58 teams from 7 schools, our students achieved some fantastic results! This rigorous event requires teams to collaborate tightly under time constraints, putting their problem-solving and critical thinking skills to the test.

    Celebrating Our Student Achievements

A special congratulations to our Year 4 team of Thabile, Matthew, and Charlie, who achieved an outstanding 3rd place—an incredible effort against strong competition!

    Well done also to:

    • Jack, Xavier, Gideon, and Liam – finishing in an impressive 7th place.
    • Maehe, Jasmine, and Wallis – securing a commendable 10th place.

    Fostering a Passion for STEM

The Science IQ Competition provides a brilliant platform for our extension students to stretch their capabilities and apply their classroom learning to real-world scientific problems. These results reflect not only their scientific knowledge and skills but also their teamwork, perseverance, and curiosity. We are so proud of each student who participated and represented our school so well!

Keep asking questions, exploring ideas, and challenging yourselves—because the future belongs to curious minds ready to discover it!
