Basketball

The South Coast Basketball Club has numerous junior and senior teams competing in the Rockingham Basketball Recreation Association each season. This competition allows students to develop new skills and progress in future basketball aspirations, through links with the Rockingham Flames in WABL (Western Australian Basketball League).

The winter and summer season runs during terms 2 & 3, and 1 & 4 respectively. Each team has a training session after school on the SCBC basketball courts. The cost per season is $320 (including uniform hire fee and bond). Separate to these Club season fees; players will also need to pay a registration fee to Basketball WA.

Registrations for the winter season happen during term 1, and term 3 for the summer season.

Please note, teams are dependent on volunteer coaches and team managers. If you have any interest in coaching your child or want to start a new team with students from the SCBC community, please contact us.

The Grace Basketball Clinic is for Year 2- 6 SCBC students.  The program is developed and coached by Australian Boomers and Perth Wildcats Legend Ricky Grace. Grace Basketball teaches the sport of basketball while focusing on the fundamentals, which can be enjoyed and played for a lifetime. During the program, participants will learn about basketball, focusing on fun, skill acquisition, and how to implement the skills learned into game situations.

The 2026 Grace Basketball Clinics run in Term 1 and 4 on Thursday mornings from 7.30am – 8.20am.

Registration for the Term 1 program is now open. This is a 7-week program (commencing Week 3) on the SCBC Secondary School indoor basketball courts. Term 1 (7-week program) is $135.
