Over the holiday break, the College completed improvements to the car park at the front of the College by introducing a new Kiss and Drive Zone, designed to improve traffic flow and provide a safer, more efficient experience for students and families during the busy morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods.
The new Kiss and Drive zone is in front of the Main Administration and Early Learning Centre buildings and is marked in yellow, as shown in the image below.
To ensure the new system operates safely and efficiently, we ask all parents and caregivers to follow the guidelines below:
- Only enter the Kiss and Drive zone when your child is ready to exit the vehicle or is waiting and ready to be collected.
- The Kiss and Drive area is designed for quick transfers only. Vehicles should not remain in the bay while waiting for students.
- A maximum stay of five (5) minutes This is to ensure traffic continues to move efficiently and all families have fair access to the Kiss and Drive area.
- If your child is not yet ready, or you require additional time, please park in one of the College’s designated parking areas rather than waiting in the Kiss and Drive lane.
- Please follow the designated traffic flow as shown in the diagram and exit via the Child Care driveway, turning left onto Gnangara Drive only.
- Please avoid parking in front of any reserved parking bays which are no standing areas
These improvements have been introduced to help reduce congestion, improve safety, and make the drop-off and pick-up process as smooth and efficient as possible for everyone.
We ask all members of our College community to show patience, courtesy, and consideration for one another, as well as for our neighbours and other road users. By working together and following these simple guidelines, we can create a safer environment for our students while reducing delays for all families.
